논문제목 Closed-loop rehabilitation in early stage of severe muscle injury through injectable tissue prosthesis and soft stretchable electronics

논문초록 Severe muscle injuries often result in lengthy recovery periods and residual disabilities. Soft electroactive hydrogels are considered ideal for prosthetic materials due to their mechanical properties and ability to stimulate and record electrophysiological signals. However, existing tissue-interfacing bioelectronics are limited in accessing complex and small biological interfaces due to their film-type form factor. Therefore, the injectable tissue prosthesis is an innovative rehabilitation approach that combines soft conducting hydrogels and self-healing, stretchable bioelectronic devices. This approach offers a promising solution for accelerating tissue repair and enhancing functional restoration. Furthermore, by integrating the robotics in closed-loop systems with injectable tissue prosthesis, we successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of a closed-loop therapy system with robot assistance in rats with volumetric muscle loss injury in the early stage.
